Mikou Musique ("we") takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller
The data controller is Lembe Mikouiza - Mikou Musique, a sole proprietorship under Luxembourg law, established at 76 avenue d'Oberkorn, L-4640 Differdange (Luxembourg). Business permit no. 10090111 / 0; registration with the Luxembourg Trade and Companies Register (RCS) pending. For any question about your data: mikoumusiqueservices@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account: email address, first and last name, password (stored encrypted), display name, declared instrument and level.
- Subscription & payment: chosen plan, billing history. Card details are handled directly by our payment providers and are never stored on our servers.
- Progress: missions, scores, badges, streaks, activity history.
- SebeneLab: audio recordings of your playing captured via your microphone, and audio/video files you upload, to run the pitch and timing analysis.
- Communication: emails you send us, and the email address you provide to receive our free resources (ebook).
- Technical data: connection information and logs needed to operate and secure the service.

4. Audio recordings (SebeneLab)
When you use SebeneLab, your microphone records your playing for the duration of the exercise. The recording is sent to our analysis server to compute a score (pitch and timing), then is not kept beyond what is necessary for the analysis and to show your result. Your personal imports remain attached to your account until you delete them.
5. Recipients and processors
We rely on technical providers acting as processors:
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication;
- Vercel — web application hosting;
- Bunny.net — hosting and delivery of videos and audio files;
- Stripe, Rapyd — payment processing (card and Mobile Money);
- Resend — sending emails;
- our audio analysis server — processing recordings for scoring.
We never sell your personal data.
6. Payments
Payments are handled by certified providers. Depending on your region, payment may be made by card (Stripe) or Mobile Money (Rapyd). We do not receive or store your full payment credentials.
7. Cookies
We only use cookies necessary for the service to work: keeping your session signed in, remembering your language and theme (light/dark). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
8. Retention
Your account data is kept while your account is active. After you delete your account, it is erased or anonymised, subject to legal obligations (notably accounting for invoices).
9. Transfers outside the European Union
Some of our processors may process data outside the European Union. Where applicable, such transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards (European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses).
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise them, write to mikoumusiqueservices@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Luxembourg supervisory authority, the National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD, www.cnpd.lu).
11. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data (password encryption, restricted access, encrypted communications).
12. Minors
If you are a minor, using the service requires the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. Any significant change will be notified to you. The last updated date appears at the top of this page.
